Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Michelle has designed and implemented organizational resilience programs for a host of Fortune 500 clients in every industry from tech to retail to hospitality to manufacturing. Her programs focus on the integration of communications, emergency response, security, crisis management, and business continuity into a holistic resiliency practice. She loves working with teams to build programs that reflect their organizational reality – whether that’s a small business or a business continuity team within a large organization. There’s a special place in her heart for mechanically complex environments because who doesn’t love nerding out on human ingenuity.
As Program Lead for the creation of a resiliency program for a tech giant’s data centers, Michelle developed and tested teams from diverse geographical and professional backgrounds. She worked closely with cross-functional teams representing security, facilities, EHS, ITDR, data security, and culinary to build a complete program. Michelle conducted over 70 tabletop exercises as part of this engagement and will forever be grateful to have visited Sweden four times per year because that’s the only country on earth where she is not the tallest woman within five miles. And yes, the Northern Lights are as amazing as you’ve been promised they are.
Michelle also has experience crafting crisis communications as part of her work to support activated teams. It’s a great way to use that English degree and prove her mom wrong about her choice of major.Â
In addition to her resiliency practice, Michelle is the CEO of White Deer Group and leads the team at How2Conquer, a boutique publisher specializing in unique how-to books. She is also a Managing Partner at NorthPoint International, a consortium offering hospitality resilience and security consulting.
Yes, she has lots of chairs she’s never actually sat in because she’s always moving. This is the magic of the empty nest years, y’all!

Director, Content Strategy
Bryan marries a marketer’s perspective with the operational side of the business, which have merged together in his current role as Director of Content Strategy. He combines more than 20 years’ web site development experience with franchise marketing, support, and sales roles to document process at scale. He’s built and managed web sites for global corporations, created content standards and operations for PMOs, and developed systems for localized messaging for dozens of franchise brands. Bryan brings visibility and clarity to large scale content operations.

Chief Financial Officer
Dina is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years of experience, including an extensive background in both restaurant and retail accounting. Dina is co-owner of Flexic Financial LLC, a women-owned small business that specializes in small business accounting and contracted CFO work. She has experience in cash management, budgeting/forecasting, financial reporting, strategic and tactical planning as well as business start-up support.

Senior Content Designer
Katherine is an account manager and content designer who partners with our clients to solve their documentation challenges. With over twenty years of experience in process development and content management, Katherine has a down-to-earth approach that clients appreciate. Besides overseeing production deadlines, Katherine is also our resident expert in MadCap Flare and multi-platform publishing output. Her focus is on developing project structure and design, and she excels at giving projects a fresh look and feel.

Senior Director, Risk Resiliency
Paul is a hotel and security expert who has led and managed the development of corporate and operational programs, including Crisis Management, Fire Safety, Safety and Security Awareness, for over thirty years. He developed a threat- and risk-based formula for safety and security that could be applied in any location, regardless of size, internal organization or corporate affiliation and a self-assessment system to support the strategic follow-up of preparedness. His experience also includes leading the development of safety and security audit programs for a global hotel group and working with an insurance broker’s fire risk engineers to broaden the scope of their audits to make them more efficient for auditors and more educational for the properties being audited. A recognized expert in his field, in addition to his corporate work, Paul has addressed government and non-governmental organizations, including the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee, on building valuable and practical public-private partnerships.

Managing Editor for d'Aulnoy Editions and Content Designer
Emily is passionate about precise content and accessible, attractive design. With a background in managing and editing print publications, she has a love for layout production and a sharp pen when it comes to proofreading. Her main role at White Deer is as the Managing Editor for d’Aulnoy Editions, an imprint of our indie publishing brand, White Deer Publishing. When she’s not working with our authors, Emily also works as a technical writer to ensure consistency of language and procedure across client projects.

Katie works with franchisors of all sizes to document and present standards and procedures in a way that helps users find what they need without boring them to death. Katie believes that the way your content looks is just as important as what it says.
Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in English, with a focus on writing and rhetoric and a minor in IT, and she brings that education to everything she does—whether it’s writing, structuring, or tinkering with new features, Katie’s goal is always to make content clearer, smarter, and more human.

With over 20 years in writing and communication, Sadie excels at the intersection between communications and incident response. Sadie crafts holding statements, crisis messaging, and internal audience posts as well as long-form published content for our clients. With her technical expertise, Sadie is our in-house expert on content management and communications distribution.

As Managing Editor for How2Conquer, Lauren Kelliher is the project leader for book development, editorial, and publishing. She is a strategic, organized, and empathetic communicator who thrives working with others to create compelling content and cohesive design. Lauren enjoys brainstorming, fun vocab words, and enthusiastically supporting her peers. She is always determined but keeps a sense of humor to lighten the workload.
Her roots in journalism prepared her to be an excellent grammarian and detail-oriented editor in a busy, deadline-driven environment. With experience in reference publishing, she became a thorough fact-checker and informative writer. Since earning eight years in the publishing industry, Lauren can hone prose with the efficiency of a machete in the jungle.

Content Designer and Production Manager for White Deer Publishing
Charlotte often catches things others might miss. As one of our Content Designers, she is an expert at finding typos and incongruities in our projects. Charlotte’s proactive attitude means she’s always ready to jump in and lend a hand, or work to make a process more efficient, so she’s usually juggling a variety of tasks and projects, and she’s always learning something new.
Also our Production Manager at White Deer Publishing, Charlotte has a great eye and works with our publishing team to establish the art direction for our books. Detail-oriented and design-driven, she tweaks every page until each is beautiful. Charlotte believes reading is an essential human experience, and frankly doesn’t believe that anyone doesn’t like to read — they just haven’t found a book they love yet.
When she’s off the clock, you can find Charlotte hanging out with her beloved (read: spoiled) pets.

Content Designer
I’ve always loved working with words, and my career started in journalism, where I learned how to dig into stories, ask the right questions, and write in a way that connects with people.
Over time, I found myself drawn to proofreading and editing, making sure writing is clear, polished, and easy to understand. I’m a bit of a detail nerd — I love catching the little things that make a big difference!
I studied both journalism and criminal justice, which gave me a unique mix of storytelling and analytical skills. Now, as a content designer, I get to take complex ideas and turn them into something beautiful, useful, and easy to understand.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, eating out, hiking with friends, or spending time with my dog.

Project Manager and Content Designer
Kylie answered the call for project management backup and came running from Argentina, where she had been living abroad. Since joining White Deer Group, she has picked up training in technical writing and content design, adding even more skills to her ever-growing toolkit. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and also completed a minor in Sculpture at The University of Georgia in Athens. Before beginning her writing career, Kylie worked as a Quality Assurance lead, microfilm operator, birth doula, woodshop manager, and vegetable farm hand.

Developer
MatĂas is a computer and technology enthusiast. He started building his own computers (and those of his entire family) at the age of 14. At the same time, he took his first steps into the world of programming by building websites.
Today, with more than 10 years of experience as a full-stack developer, he enjoys finding new challenges and learning new technologies.
When he’s not working with computers (or doing a project with a Raspberry Pi), he teaches digital photography at Escuela Argentina de FotografĂa.
